About Nashville's Handyman Service
Nashville's Handyman Service is a handyman service serving Nashville and 64 more towns across 12 counties of Middle Tennessee — and we stake our name on how the work goes.
The handyman market is a stranger with a truck, and the good ones are the ones who come back when called and say no to the jobs that need a licensed trade. Our handymen are insured, priced in the open, and honest about where a handyman’s work ends.
What we do
- Take the whole list. The door that sticks, the fan, the caulk, the shelf; one visit, one invoice, everything on it.
- Price in the open. An hourly rate with a minimum, or a job price for what can be scoped, told before the visit.
- Hand off what needs a license. A new circuit or a moved drain goes to a licensed electrician or plumber, and we say so rather than doing it quietly.
What we will not do
- Pretend to be a contractor. A handyman is not licensed for structural, electrical or plumbing work beyond the basics, and the ones who claim to be are the ones to avoid.
- Pad the hours. The time on the invoice is the time in the house; a two-hour job is not a half day.
- Buy materials without asking. Parts are agreed before they are bought, and the receipts come with the invoice.
What we actually work on
Handyman services in Nashville.
The handyman problems Middle Tennessee homeowners bring us most often:
- A list of ten small jobs
- Nobody will take a small job
- Holes and dents everywhere
- Just moved in
- Getting the house ready to list
- Ran out of weekends
Who does the work
Every handyman on our crews carries liability insurance on file with us, and the ones taking rental turnovers have references from landlords we have spoken to.
Beyond the paperwork, the test is how somebody handles the part of a handyman job that does not go to plan — the honest call when the estimate has to change, and whether you hear about it before the work or after. The handymen who stay with us are the ones who have passed that test on jobs we know about.
Why we do not publish reviews yet
No reviews on this site yet — a company this new has none to show, and a handyman is judged on whether he comes back, which takes time to prove.
Where we work
Handymen serving Nashville also take jobs in Franklin, Brentwood, Murfreesboro, Hendersonville; the range runs to 65 towns across 12 counties. Each of the main cities has its own page — what its houses mean for handyman, who issues the permits, which neighborhoods are inside the run.
If you want to understand the work before you speak to anyone, our handyman guide covers what drives the price, what your options are and what a badly done job looks like — written so you can judge any handyman in the region, including us.
Who we are
Michael Blair is the owner of Nashville's Handyman Service, runs it himself and is responsible for what each page says. Those pages are drawn from Tennessee code, the documentation that comes with each manufacturer’s product, and the way careful handymen work, and are revised when those change; the posts are signed with his name and dated. The handymen on our crews are licensed and insured as the work requires and held to the commitments above, and their work has Nashville's Handyman Service behind it.
Handyman jobs under the state’s threshold may not need a contractor’s license at all; when one is required, verify.tn.gov shows it. Either way, the insurance certificate should be requested before work starts, and your town’s city page names its permit office.
